For the 2024 theme, we travel to outer space for the race, camping, parties, kids events, live music and bash celebrating the most delicious suds around made by Moat Mountain Smokehouse & Brewery. This year is the 24th Anniversary of Moat Mountain, our 24th 24 Hour Race, in year 2024. WHOAAAA… Race starts at 8am on Saturday. The Fair is held over nine days, 10am–5pm daily, rain or shine. Pets are not allowed on the Fairgrounds. Top Notch Triathlon Top Notch Triathlon All Day The Top Notch Triathlon is an annual event that brings together local athletes, visitors, friends and family to compete in the beautiful White Mountains of Franconia Notch. Athletes will begin their journey in the village of Franconia with a 6-mile bike ride to Echo Lake Beach, swim 1/3-mile across Echo Lake, and finish the race with 3.1-mile run across the slopes of Cannon. In Brahms’ Serenade in D, he channels Mozart, Haydn and Schubert, but never sets aside his own Romantic sensibilities. This expansive, jubilant, song-like, somber, stately and galloping piece is contrasted on the program by Carl Nielsen’s brief and humorous Serenata in vano. Denali Hiking Challenge Denali Hiking Challenge All Day Within the mountains that surround Waterville Valley exist a number of New England's highest peaks. The Denali Challenge is to hike five of these peaks in one weekend. The ultimate challenge is to hike the five peaks equaling 20,000 feet (Denali is at 20,328') claiming the title "Alive after five". This year, hikers will be able to choose from a number of different peaks for the five mountains they will climb. Participation in the weekend is free and everyone is welcome. Whether you're an experienced hiker looking to master all five peaks, or just looking to join the fun, there is something to fit all abilities and ages.
