Gunstock Mountain Resort

Gunstock is a four-season mountain resort that provides year-round fun and adventure. Winter offers skiing and snowboarding on 227 skiable acres comprising 49 trails. There's also snow tubing, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing and even skijoring on the dog-friendly cross-country ski trails. Located in New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, Gunstock is close to Boston, Concord and the N.H. Seacoast. Gunstock announces capital improvements for 2025/2026 season and beyond

As Gunstock’s current winter season wanes, the focus turns to summer operations and improvements for the winter of 2025/2026, and beyond.

Gunstock, with full support of the Gunstock Area Commission, is planning to invest heavily in resort infrastructure over the next few years. More than $3 million is earmarked for lifts, $2.5 million for snowmaking and grooming equipment, and more than $4 million for general infrastructure improvements that include electrical systems.

Refurbishing the Panorama quad lift, anticipated to be a two-year process, is slated to begin this spring with upgrades to key components, starting with the communication lines that transfer critical safety information between operators at the terminals and at every tower along the line. The computerized chair-spacing system that resulted in a disruption in service in spring 2025 is expected to be replaced in the fall. These upgrades are critical elements of the larger investment in the full renovation of the Panorama lift and will be followed by further enhancements to include new lift structures to house lift components and shelter lift attendants at the base and summit.

Gunstock’s Pistol lift is scheduled to receive a new gear box this summer and a haul rope replacement is planned for Ramrod. Upgrades to the drives on Tiger, Pistol, and Ramrod are being considered for this summer as well. In addition, resort electrical systems are scheduled for inspection and replacement as needed to ensure reliability.

Warm-weather adventure includes hiking, biking, fishing, zipline tours, aerial treetop adventures, a mountain coaster, scenic chairlift rides, and camping. Gunstock’s campground welcomes tents, trailers and RVs. There are also rustic cabins available to rent - in summer and winter. Amenities include restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, swimming pool and camp store. Gunstock's central location is ideal for visitors considering a concert at Bank NH Pavilion (10 minutes away) or one of the Lakes Region’s many events.
