Ski Resorts Aren't Just for Winter: Summer Activities Are in Full Swing at NH Ski Areas

Conway, NH - Summer is in full swing in the Granite State, and as Granite Staters wait for the snow to begin falling again, NH ski areas are the perfect place to make some memories this summer. From the thrill of mountain biking down winding trails to the tranquility of scenic chairlift rides offering breathtaking views, summer at NH ski areas promises endless opportunities for outdoor exploration. What's more, several NH ski resorts have added new activities and events to their summer line-up of things to do.
Disc golf professionals as well as those who are new to the sport may want to head over to King Pine Ski Area and Purity Springs Resort in Madison, NH to check out the newest 18-hole disc golf course in Mount Washington Valley. Kings Mark Disc Golf takes you through the lush pine forests surrounding the ski area and resort offering both advanced and intermediate/beginner options for tees. Loon Mountain Resort has added a Kids Rip Bike Camp this summer for bikers ages 8-13, with the second session hosted taking place between August 5-9. Apart from biking, campers can explore other attractions at Loon and in the surrounding area. Loon Mountain Resort is also expanding their bike park with the addition of three new trails, adding 1.5 miles of intermediate and advanced trails.
Others may wish to discover the thrill of exploration with the newly-launched 3-Hour Guided Discovery Tour up the Mount Washington Auto Road. This tour takes a look at the unique history, weather, and ecology of Mount Washington. There are two more chances for visitors to take advantage of this tour: July 27 and August 24.
Foodies will want to note that Cranmore Mountain Resort has added an all new Summer Dining Series to their events calendar. Guests can choose from an Italian-themed dinner on August 3, a Summit BBQ on August 17, or welcome fall with a Harvest Dinner on September 21.
Mount Sunapee’s Friday Cocktails at the Summit is perfect for those who enjoy a drink with a view. Every Friday from 4-6pm, guests ride up the Sunapee Express Quad to enjoy appetizers and a cocktail.
Additionally, several beloved activities from past summers have made a return to many NH ski areas.
Whaleback Ski Area brought back their Friday Family Fun Nights where folks can enjoy food, drinks, games, music, and more.
Bretton Woods’ Year Round Canopy Tours provide guests with amazing views of the Presidential Range and beyond.
Great Glen Trails offers guests a refreshing way to enjoy the White Mountains with their Whitewater and Freshwater Kayaking Tours and clinics.
