Cold Temperatures and Snowy Conditions Allow for New Hampshire Ski Areas to Open

Ski Areas Announce Opening Dates

Conway, N.H. (November 12, 2019)—Snow has fallen in many parts of the Granite State and ski areas are getting ready for what forecasters indicate will be a snowy upcoming winter season.
Bretton Woods will be kicking off the season for New Hampshire ski areas tomorrow for their ‘Say Goodnight to Hunger’ Sneak Preview Day where guests can bring a food donation for the local food banks and ski for free. Cranmore Mountain Resort will be making history for its second year in a row with its earliest opening date ever on Saturday, November 16.
The following mountains and resorts have announced their opening dates so skiers and riders can count down the days until they hit the slopes. (These dates are tentative, weather dependent, and subject to change.) Bretton Woods: Wednesday, November 13 (open from 12:00pm to 3:30pm). Regular daily operating hours begin Thursday, November 14.
Loon Mountain Resort: Friday, November 15
Cranmore Mountain Resort: Saturday, November 16 (lifts only, 9:00am – 4:00pm). Tubing will open on Friday, November 29.
Cannon Mountain: Saturday, November 23
Jackson XC: Saturday, November 23
Waterville Valley Resort: Saturday, November 23
Mount Sunapee Resort: Wednesday, November 27
Great Glen Trails: Friday, November 29
Gunstock Mountain Resort: Friday, November 29
Ragged Mountain Resort: Friday, November 29
McIntyre Ski Area: Saturday, December 7
Pats Peak Ski Area: Saturday, December 7
King Pine Ski Area: Friday, December 13
Whaleback Ski Area: Friday, December 13
Dartmouth Skiway: Saturday, December 21
Dartmouth Cross Country: Saturday, January 4
