Black Mountain 

All Weekend Long
Check out the annual Jackson Snow Sculpting Competition at Black Mountain! The event is free and the sculptures are located in the main parking lot at the bottom of the Jubilee Trail.

Bretton Woods


All Weekend Long
Show up to Bretton Woods with lift tickets or season passes for three or more New Hampshire ski areas, including Bretton Woods, and you'll be entered into a raffle for a 2017-18 season pass to Bretton Woods to be drawn at the end of the weekend. The pass is non-transferrable and has no cash value.

Village Ski and Sport of Lincoln, NH will be at Cannon with their annual telemark demo day providing free telemark demo gear with boots from Scarpa and Scott and skis from K2, Scott and Blizzard. 8am-2pm in front of the Notchview Lodge. Cranmore Mountain Resort

Sam Adams Air & Après is coming back to Cranmore! This nighttime showcase combines the thrill and technical skill of some of the best skiers and riders in the sport, alongside cutting-edge 3D projection mapping. Sam Adams Air & Après is an on-snow spectacular that has to be seen to believe. Stop by the Sam Adams Festival Village during the day, check out the noon-time demo at the show site all to get you get ready for the night show. Air & Après festivities kick-off around sunset, so grab yourself a cold Sam Adams, get there early and come party the night away with Sam Adams Air and Après. Then, take apres-ski to the next level with live music in Zip's Pub and the excitement of Cranmore's signature event, Cranapalooza.

Granite Gorge

Granite Gorge will offer a buy one get one free full-day trail pass for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Lessons and rentals are available for an additional fee.

In conjunction with the Appalachian Mountain Club, Great Glen Trails offers you the chance to really get to know Pinkham Notch, with a free Ski with a Naturalist tour (trail pass is required). When you ski with a naturalist, you will learn about the flora and fauna that make our corner of the world so special.

Lap the new Pistol park in a relaxed and laid back competition. Undercover judging to catch you doing your best tricks without the pressure of all eyes on you. Registration 9-10 event starts at 10:30 and will run till 12:30.  This is a snowboard-only event. Registration will be in the main lodge. $20 registration fee. 

King Pine at Purity Spring Resort

Kick off the weekend with the Kid’s Fun Race 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Races are free to all with a lift ticket. Awards at 1:30 p.m. in the Fireplace Room. Warm up after with special NH food and drinks from the Pine Cone Café.

Once the sun goes down, it’s time to join us under the lights of the Twisted Pine Terrain Park from 6-8 p.m. for the inaugural King’s Mark Freeride Series – Rail Jam. The first of the three event freeride series with awesome prizes from our event sponsor Fire On The Mountain/Burning Boards.

Après ski live music in the Trail's End Tavern with Jazzy Jill and the Jems will wrap up Saturday’s events after a fun day on the slopes like they used to back in the days of wooden skis and leather boots!

King Pine has partnered with Eastern Mountain Sports, North Conway to offer complimentary Nordic trail passes to first-timers. In addition EMS will have demo cross country skis and snowshoes available for on snow clinics with the EMS crew from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

First timers, ages 12 and above, are invited to join EMS for on snow clinics at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sign up in advance at the EMS tent on the day of and receive a complimentary trail pass with your clinic.  There is limited availability for the clinics which will be on a first come, first serve basis. First timer snowshoe clinics will also be offered by EMS on a first come, first serve basis.

Loon Mountain Resort

All Weekend Long
Beginners who enroll in the First Class Beginner’s Weekend program at Loon will be treated to a weekend-long learning experience that includes a FREE pair of HEAD skis, bindings and boots - and a private slopeside learning lounge. Loon’s Learn-to-Ski or Ride packages are another great learning option. Offered for ages 14 & up, each package includes a novice lift ticket, equipment rentals, and a group lesson.

Join us a for a guided snowshoe walk along the East Branch and Saco rivers. This is a great way to try this winter activity, which is gaining in popularity with each season. The tour will last between 1.5 - 2 hours covering a distance of fewer than 2 miles at an easy pace suitable for all ages and abilities. Learn about the trees and wildlife and search for animal tracks while learning basic snowshoeing technique and bushwacking skills.

Come to Pats Peak to celebrate a day on the NH slopes and enjoy music and games in the base area. ALT 92.9 radio will be at the mountain from 12-2pm and will be playing music and have fun games, prizes, and sampling. Prizes will include concert tickets, movie passes, t-shirts, koozies, CD’s, and much more! Sampling will consist of pre-packaged snacks from Nature’s Path, an organic and healthy choice for all walks of life. Join Ragged for the USSA Open Scored Slalom on Showboat, featuring some of New Hampshire’s Top U16 Ski Racers on our FIS homologated run right under the Spear Express Chairlift. This will provide tons of fun action to watch both from the lift and in the spectator’s area.

Brush up on your skills with three free clinics focused on improving in specific areas of skiing and snowboarding. From 11 am to 2 pm we will offer clinics on Terrain Park Skills, Alpine Racing, and Advanced All Mountain Skiing and Snowboarding. These will be the perfect opportunity for skiers and snowboards of all skill levels to explore the other aspects of this exciting sport. Clinics will be meeting at designated areas across the resort, on the hour from 11 am to 2 pm, and take roughly 30 mins. Plus, we'll also have a Demo Day event with Sport Thoma. 

Waterville Valley Resort

We want first-timers to join us all out on the slopes! Waterville Valley Resort is celebrating Learn to Ski & Snowboard month this January by offering a discounted package for beginners on select weekends that includes:

  • Lower Mountain Lift Ticket
  • 2 Hour Group Lesson
  • Rental Equipment for Downhill Skiing or Snowboarding 

This special $39 Learn-To package is available for ages 7+ on January 27th & 28th, 2018. Lessons begin at 10:00am and 1:30pm and we recommend checking in 1 hour prior to lesson start time. Registration is located at Top Dog Rentals in the courtyard of the Base Area. Limited capacity at this price.  First come, first serve basis. Only available with advanced reservation, 24 hours or greater.

Waterville Valley Resort will host New Hampshire’s First IFSA Freeride Event on the first ever custom built freeride trail (and one of only two freeride events on the East Coast this season). Then enjoy apres-ski food and drink specials and live music, plus fireworks in Town Square at 7:30PM.
