Highlights: New this summer is the Mountain Coaster.  The coaster brings guests up 1,430 ft. before descending on a thrilling 2,880 ft. ride down through the mountain terrain. The ride includes banked turns, dips and straight-aways at rider-controlled speeds of up to 25 mph.

Guests can also enjoy a whole host of other fun activities, including North America's longest Alpine Slides, a water park with two waterslides and Buddy Bear's Playpool, horseback riding and guided pony rides along the Saco River, a Scenic Sky Ride, lift-serviced mountain biking, a 24 ft. climbing wall, and the EuroBungy Trampoline.  Mountainside lodging is available at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel with year-round heated outdoor pool and spas, fitness center, massage therapy, and casual dining at Crawford's Pub and Grill.  The surrounding Mount Washington Valley also offers a wide variety of lodging, restaurants, attractions, and more than 200 tax-free factory outlet stores.

Highlights: Horseback riding at Black Mountain is not only great fun but the perfect opportunity to enjoy incredible views of the entire Presidential Range at an elevation of 2,000 ft. The horses are well trained, friendly and accustomed to inexperienced riders.  Trail and pony rides are offered five times daily; reservations are recommended. Other unique programs include overnight excursions, sunrise and sunset rides, horse camps, lessons, pony rides and pony parties for younger kids.  Black Mountain is also a spectacular setting for weddings and private functions.  Amenities include a professional catering staff, full liquor license, bar/lounge, large outdoor deck and tent space, all surrounded by beautiful views.

Kids' programs: A horse camp is offered in two one-week sessions, beginning July 5 and July 12 for kids ages 8-12.  Campers are limited to ensure a high quality learning experience by experienced horse trainers.  Pony rides are offered daily and pony parties can be scheduled at the mountain or at your home.

Highlights: Bretton Woods, New Hampshire's largest ski area, features year-round Canopy Tours and the Williwaw Racing Zip.  The Canopy Tour is the longest in New England and adventures through platforms connected by ten zip-lines, two sky bridges and three rappels, dropping a total of 1,000 feet.  The Williwaw Racing Zip is also the final leg of the Canopy Tour and is available for individual zip rides, allowing two participants to race each other.

Highlights: Visitors to Franconia Notch State Park can ride the Aerial Tramway or enjoy the sun at Echo Lake Beach.  The Tramway takes visitors up 2,000 vertical feet to the summit of Cannon Mountain to enjoy panoramic views of four states and Canada.  Located at the summit are a cafeteria, walking paths and an observation tower.  At the base are a cafeteria and gift shop.  Located adjacent to the Tramway base is the New England Ski Museum and Franconia Notch Recreation Path.  Guests can also enjoy the Flume Gorge, The Basin, and the Old Man of the Mountain Historic Site, all located in Franconia Notch State Park.  Other activities include picnicking and canoe and kayak rentals.

Highlights: Eastman's 18-hole golf course is set among towering pines.  Several holes offer picturesque views.  Nearly $2 million has been spent on improvements to the course over the past several years.  A driving range is available along with lessons, weekly programs and club rentals.  This summer the course will host the 2010 New Hampshire Men's Amateur Championship.

Food service: Bistro Nouveau is a full-service restaurant open Wednesday-Sunday with a tavern and grill, fine dining and function rooms.  The Turn is an outdoor snack shack open Monday-Tuesday.

Highlights: Summer guests at Waterville Valley can enjoy mountain activities including golf, tennis, scenic chairlift rides, mountain biking, skateboarding, boating, hiking, ice skating and more.   In Town Square there are live concerts on Saturdays and a full summer schedule of special events.  "Summer Unlimited" packages combine local lodging with most of Waterville Valley's activities.  Summer skatecamp offers overnight and day sessions. 

Waterville Valley's mountain biking trail network winds through the White Mountain National Forest, using parts of its cross-country ski trail network, old logging roads, fire roads, single track and hiking trails. There's also plenty of road riding available on miles of smooth roads winding throughout the valley.  Suspension bike rentals are available, along with mountain biking packages including bike rentals and use of the Snow's Mountain lift.  The lift offers a variety of downhill and cross country mountain biking routes down Snow's Mountain. Hikers and bikers can both use the lift.

Kids' programs: There are full and half-day programs for children and teens, ages 4-16, throughout the summer, as well as specialized skateboard camps.  Waterville Valley is also home of the Curious George Cottage, former residence of Margret and H.A. Rey.  The cottage serves as headquarters for story hours, nature walks and astronomy nights.

Highlights:  Fly Wildcat on the ZipRider, one of New Hampshire's more unique thrill rides offering exhilaration and beautiful views.  Now with four cables, the half-mile ZipRider has doubled its capacity since last summer. (Some weight/height ride restrictions apply.)   Ride the 4-passenger Gondola Skyride, the Wildcat Express, to the 4,062' summit.  In just twelve minutes, view Tuckerman Ravine and gaze out at the stunning Presidential Range, crowned by world-renowned Mt. Washington. Play a round on the 9-hole lift-serviced alpine disc golf course.  Cast a line in the stocked trout pond, or take a picnic lunch for the mile walk to Thompson Brook Falls or along part of the famous Appalachian Trail.  Join a naturalist every Wednesday during the months of July and August to explore and understand the environment and unique appeal of the White Mountain National Forest.  Dogs on leash welcome.
