Muster in the Mountains A weekend of colonial reenactment comes to the Auto Road

Friday, Saturday & Sunday - September 6, 7, & 8, 2019 This event features a colonial encampment of reenactors representing the French and Indian War, Revolutionary War, and Mountain Man periods from 1750 through 1840. This gathering will take place in the fields at the base of the Mt. Washington Auto Road in beautiful Pinkham Notch in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Participants demonstrate the use of appropriate tools, clothing, and firearms from their respective time periods. This event is free and open to the general public with the hope that the education they receive here may spur them on to consider becoming a future participant. Open to the public: Friday and Saturday from 10am – 4pm, Sunday from 10am – 1pm. Please, no dogs. The Auto Road remains fully open during this event. Activities will include: 1800 firearms/cannon display and competition Woods walk competition Tomahawk and knife throwing Cooking competition Weaving, basketmaking, quill work, candle dipping Gunsmithing, coppersmithing, blacksmithing Archery, wood carving, century games and more! Enjoy a peaceful chairlift ride to the summit of Gunstock with your friends in the fresh morning air. Take in the majestic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and surrounding mountains as far as the eye can see, while breathing, moving, and meditating. This is all about elevating your mood, improving your flexibility in a beautiful, natural setting, and starting your day feeling centered. These weekly sessions are for everyone but geared toward beginners: they include only the most basic poses and moves, and will leave you feeling loose, relaxed, and ready to approach your day with a sense of great intention! Please arrive for class no later than 8:45am, as the Panorama chairlift loads participants at 9am. Class wraps up at 10am and includes a lift ride down the mountain as well. A LIMITED number of yoga mats are available for guests to use, however, we strongly recommend bringing your own mat to this popular class. Drop-in rate for each class is $20. More Info
