Bretton Woods

Fell into October Autumnfest

The Bretton Woods Adventure Center at the Omni Mount Washington Resort invites you to our first ever “Fell Into October!” Autumn Festival to celebrate all things New England. This event includes the 6th Annual Fell Race at Bretton Woods, a race featuring a combination of mountain racing and orienteering that takes racers through off-road terrain with challenging elevation changes. We are also introducing our first ever Bretton Woods Mountain Bike Fondo. This tour of the Bretton Woods Cross Country Trail System, in the heart of the White Mountains National Forest, features course levels with varied terrain for each kind of rider.

Knockerball

A Knockerball is an inflatable ball with inner handles and adjustable shoulder straps, which is worn like a backpack.  The ball is designed with multiple sheets of a higher grade durable TPU plastic and tension cups and cords, which allows participants to knock each other around without feeling trauma from the blow.  Knockerball or “bubble soccer” has been gaining traction in Europe, Australia, Japan and elsewhere. 

  • KnockerBall is valid with the purchase of a $13 Cranmore single ride ticket, or $65 6-pack of transferable tickets.  
  • A $10 upgrade can be purchased as an add-on to a Mountain Adventure Park, Aerial Adventure Park, Combo ticket or Summer Season Pass.  Tickets can be purchased at Cranmore’s Ticket Office. 
  • Games are supervised and monitored at all times by trained staff to ensure safety of participants.  Closed toed shoes are required.

The Ghoullog

While you’re here, visit the Haunted Playground! Scream the night away with unlimited rides on the Giant Swing, Soaring Eagle Zip Line, and Mountain Coaster. Special effects and the occasional ghost or ghoul can be found along the way.

White Mountain Storytelling Festival

Back for its sixth year, this festival provides stories for people of every age.  Storytellers bring an exciting festival program to the Valley which includes Friday night ghost stories, programs for kids, families, and adults all day Saturday and sacred tales Sunday morning. More Info

6th Annual Rally in the Valley

Join us for the Annual Rally in the Valley all vehicle show, presented by the East Coast Camaro Club. Awards, music, food, and 50/50 raffle. $10 donation; proceeds to benefit a charity.  Registration at gate. Rain or shine.

Area restaurants compete in Town Square for the title of the best chili around!  Admission fee gets guests samples of every chili and a voting ballot.  Starts at noon, along with a free outdoor concert.

Mountaintop Yoga - Foliage Flow

A peaceful, quiet chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. You take in the majestic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and mountains as far as the eye can see, while breathing, moving, and meditating.

These sessions include only the most basic poses and moves, and will leave you feeling loose, relaxed, and ready to approach your day with a sense of great intention!

Meet at the Welcome Center at 8:40am. Lift ride begins at 9am. Back down the mountain by 10:20am. $20

Guided Foliage Hike

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of year here in the Lakes Region. Bright greens slowly become brilliant yellows, oranges, and reds.

Get the most out of your day on an adventurous 1 and a half hour round-trip hike through the woods, while taking in majestic views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the Belknap, Ossipee and White Mountains!

Meet at the Welcome Center at 10:45am.  Route to change based on weather. Rain? As long as no thunderstorms are in the area, we'll get in touch with our inner youth and puddle splash our way through it!

Wetlands Walk Volunteer Day

Volunteers are needed to repair and “spruce up” the public and handicapped accessible Wetlands Walk Boardwalk at Gunstock Mountain Resort on Saturday, September 30th from 9am-1pm. Belknap County Conservation District initially built the Wetlands Walk over 20 years ago and has received funding for major repair work. There are a wide range of volunteer initiatives to choose from. 

The rain date is Sunday, October 1st. If you are interested in participating, send a note to WetlandsWalk@myfairpoint.net by Tuesday 9/26 if you can help and would like to eat with us. You can volunteer later too or just learn more about the Wetlands Walk and the Buy a Board Campaign. For more information you can also call the Belknap County Conservation District office at 603-527-5880 or go to www.belknapccd.org.

All volunteer time, donated materials, and financial contributions count towards the 50:50 match needed for the New England Forests and Rivers Fund and Mooseplate Grants. More Info

Kick your Saturday night off on an adventurous 1 and a half hour round-trip hike through the woods, while watching the sunset over the Belknap and Ossipee Ranges!

Headlights provided for when the darkness inevitably falls upon us! Also.... S'MORES! :)

Mount Sunapee Resort

Yoga with a View

Take in the amazing views this summer while doing something for yourself! Cost is $15 per class or you can buy a 10-class punch card for $120! Take the Sunapee Express to the summit (please allow 15 minutes to get to the top by chair). Alternatively, you can hike up the Summit Trail for a warmup! The Summit Trail takes about 90 minutes to hike, give or take, depending on your pace. More Info
