Mountain biking at Mount Sunapee

Want the kids to experience the mountains of New Hampshire? These Granite State ski areas offer summer experiences from day camps to overnight stays that will be the ultimate show-and-tell for when they go back to school in the fall. 

Bretton Woods

Teen adventure camps ensure that ages 13 to 17 will enjoy a vast array of activities with our skilled Adventure Guides. These fully supervised programs begin and end at the Bretton Woods Ski Area, beginning July and concluding the end of August.

Teen Adventure Camps include a variety of activities that will keep teens engaged while enjoying the outdoors and the many activities the Omni Mount Washington Resort has to offer. Sample activities include Canopy Tours, rock climbing, hiking excursions, mountain biking, archery, wilderness survival skills, and fly fishing.

Granite Gorge Ski Area

Granite Gorge is pleased to announce their new summer day camp. Offering an affordable option for parents in the Keene and Monadnock region, Granite Gorge’s camp will run Monday-Friday from June 19, 2017 until August 23, 2017.

Offering a variety of activities including hiking, archery, kickball, softball, Frisbee golf, soccer, swimming at Otter Brook Lake Beach, arts and crafts, cooking, fishing, slip and slide and much more; Granite Gorge’s camp provides a unique and fun alternative for children ages 6 and older to get outside, make friends and have the summer of their lives!

Great Glen Trails

The Teen Northern Forest Kayaking Trip guides ages 12-15 through the wildlife-rich waters of Lake Umbagog National Wildlife Refuge to the churning whitewater of the Upper Androscoggin River between Errol and Milan, NH. This trip includes both flatwater canoeing and whitewater kayaking while camping at remote wilderness campsites.

During Teen Wilderness Mountain Biking Adventures, teens explore some of the best mountain bike terrain in New Hampshire. You’ll start on Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center’s private bike trails to hone your skills on dirt roads, single track, and double track before venturing to other acclaimed areas for longer rides. Learn to shift like a pro, cross streams and logs, make field repairs, climb and descend with confidence, and be comfortable with varying terrain. Guides from Great Glen will join your AMC instructors to lead your rides. At the end of the day, retire to a campground for dinner and a swim. Mountain biking sections are designed for beginner to intermediate bikers to ensure that everyone is comfortable riding together. 

Teen Wilderness Whitewater Kayaking offers instruction from Great Glen Trails' kayaking guides with the Appalachian Mountain Club's Teen Wilderness Adventures Programs. you will navigate the rapids of rivers such as the Androscoggin and Magalloway. Using provided equipment we will learn kayaking techniques, how to read the river, and how to use the currents to your advantage. Programs will start on flatwater, then move onto quickwater, and finally onto Class I, II, and possibly III whitewater. Instruction will be provided by Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center (ACA certified) along with AMC instructors. We will stay at a campground and paddle during the day.

King Pine Ski Area 

Tohkomeupog is a traditional overnight boys’ camp located on 1,000 acres of New Hampshire wilderness and surrounding the sparkling waters of a private lake. At Tohkomeupog, we focus on those sports and skills which can best be acquired and enjoyed out of doors.

At this camp in East Madison, boys will have the opportunity to go on trips, and enjoy activities like mountain biking, rock climbing, white water canoeing, sea kayaking, team sports, and traditional camp activities. 

Mount Sunapee 

The Kids Mountain Adventure Camp is a day camp from June through August that offers children ages 5 -15 a high-quality outdoor experience in adventure and fun! Your child will connect with nature and the outdoors while creating lifelong memories and friendships. Explore beautiful Mount Sunapee while giving your child a summer to remember! 

Activities include but are not limited to the Aerial Challenge Course, mountain biking, rock climbing, hiking, fort building, mini golf, arts and crafts, orienteering, and outdoor exploration. 

Air and Adventure Camp runs from July 10th to the 14th and costs $500 per child. Under the guidance of experienced freestyle instructors, your child will be in for a week full of fun activities. It's a one-of-a-kind camp experience with various activities to sharpen your child's freestyle skills while having plenty of fun! Some of the features of the Air Camp include skilled freestyle staff instructors, progressive competitive training, Canopy zip line, Aerial Challenge Course, AMP Energy air bag training, plus downhill mountain biking and hiking adventures.
